Job Summary The City of Manhattan is accepting applications for an Educator I Gallery Attendant. This position will be responsible for working directly with the visiting public or youth and adult program participants. The primary responsibility will be to provide in-gallery exhibit monitoring and thematic education in support of The Smithsonian's Sea Monsters Unearthed traveling exhibit. Educators will reflect the mission for the Parks & Recreation Department and uphold each specific division's mission of continuing education in their respective fields. The selected candidate(s) must be able to attend all in-service training sessions. The position includes fulltime, daytime hours during the Discovery Center's regular operating hours (Tuesday- Saturday 10:00AM
- 5:00PM and Sunday 12:00PM
- 5:00PM) as well as support for additional programs and events after hours and on Mondays.
