Full Job Description Job Description:
Career Training Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Bilingual GED/HiSET Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping young adult learners achieve their educational goals and prepared to deliver engaging, effective instruction in a supportive environment.
Position Overview:
The GED/HiSET Instructor will be responsible for providing instruction and support to Out of school youth and adult learners preparing for the GED / High School Equivalency Test (HiSET). The instructor will design and deliver engaging lessons across subjects including mathematics, reading, writing, science, and social studies, tailored to meet the diverse needs of adult students.
Responsibilities:
Plan and facilitate lessons for adults who lack a high school credential or have tested below a 12th-grade level in reading, language arts, or math, using the MA Adult Education Content Standards Focus on developing critical thinking skills in addition to subject knowledge Support students' ability to succeed in HiSET exam preparation Develop lesson plans for each class meeting Communicate academic material effectively in a positive and appropriate learning environment Provide direct instruction, small group, and individualized educational activities Use technology to support instruction both virtually and in person Maintain required paperwork, including attendance rosters and student portfolios
Qualifications:
Proven experience teaching in training centers, community college and/ or workplace settings Experience working with multilevel classes and implementing differentiated instruction Strong knowledge of GED/HiSET exam content and preparation strategies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs Reliable and professional attitude
