Qualifications:

Valid and active Massachusetts DOE license for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (VI Teacher) Successful completion of MTELs, as required for Massachusetts educators Prior experience teaching or supporting students with visual impairments is strongly preferred Strong collaboration and communication skills to engage with students, educators, and families Commitment to tailored, student-centered approaches and advocacy for accessibility

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction to students with visual impairments, fostering an accessible and supportive classroom environment Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure consistent support and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Conduct assessments and recommend strategies, tools, and technologies to enhance student learning and independence Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in alignment with school and state guidelines Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development as needed You will work onsite in a dynamic, collaborative environment dedicated to student growth and inclusive practice.
