Position Title Adjunct Instructor for Adult Learners with IDD FLSA Non-Exempt FT/PT Part Time Hours Per Week Varies Work Schedule To be discussed Position Salary Range Stipend $38-$50 per class hour Summary Howard Community College ( HCC) is looking for experienced and passionate instructors to teach adaptive classes for our Inclusive Learning Programs for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities ( IDD). We are a continuing education program that allows adults of all ages with IDD to maintain or build on their skills and knowledge in a supportive and welcoming environment. This is an on-site, part-time adjunct position. We are currently recruiting qualified applicants with a variety of skills and proven teaching ability for the following categories of classes: Employability Soft Skills and Job-Specific Training Social Skills Life Skills Basic Financial Literacy Foundational Math and Number Sense Foundational Literacy and Phonics Instruction Health Fitness Art Science Social Studies Computer Skills Culinary and Foodservice And more! Adjunct instructors are hired on an ongoing basis. We are in the process of expanding our programs and the number of teaching opportunities is anticipated to continue to rise. Collaborate with other instructors and administrators to maintain consistency throughout the program.
