Job Description
Class Description Perform professional level administrative duties of ESOL intake and assessment process, assisting with the daily operations of the Continuing Education's Center for Adult and Family Literacy. This is a part-time, grant position funded through the Consolidated Adult Education and Family Literacy Grant provided by Maryland's. Department of Labor. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree and two years' experience in adult education ESOL required. Master's degree in TESOL and prior experience with administration of standardized assessments and/or computer based testing programs with CASAS or TABE preferred. Class Specific Essential Duties Implement ESOL program's managed enrollment process including scheduling and management of orientation, intake, and assessments for ESOL students throughout Baltimore County. Collect and input data regarding assessment and placement of ESOL students as required by funder. Ensure security of all testing materials. Administer the implementation of assessments to ESOL students. Communicate with ESOL learners and instructors/tutors regarding placement, progress and attendance issues. Work with ESOL program staff to address the special needs of enrolled learners, including individuals with disabilities. Assist in the referral process of ESOL learners to support services and/or outside agencies. Distribute assessment materials and attendance documentation to adjunct faculty in the field. Adjunct Faculty, Part Time Associates and Full Time employees are eligible to save for retirement using the Roth 403(b) savings feature. Employees may contribute traditional pre-tax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b) post-tax dollars simultaneously. The savings limits are combined for the Traditional 403(b) and the Roth 403(b) contributions. Deferred Compensation Plan — 457(b) offered through VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc. The 457(b) salary reduction authorization form is needed. The form is available on SharePoint Forms/Human Resources Forms. Parking Free. Must obtain a parking permit from the Department of Public Safety to use on all campuses. Sick and Safe Leave CCBC is pleased to offer paid sick and safe leave for part-time employees.
