Full Job Description Responsibilities:

Lead adult + child cooking classes (providing basic cooking skills to youth and including tips for adults on how to cook safely with children)
Provide one-on-one assistance to students who may need additional help
Develop lesson plans and preparation of materials
Shift would be Wednesday evenings (Oct/Nov) & some occasional Saturdays (with potential to increase/adjust hours after the fall)
Hiring for multiple locations

Experience:

Previous experience teaching cooking skills to youth and/or adults
Previous experience working with children in a school, daycare, or out-of-school time program
Familiarity with youth development principles and positive youth development practices
Knowledge of classroom management techniques and strategies
Understanding of Social Emotional Learning and how to work with youth to practice and develop those skills
Ability to provide basic first aid if needed We are looking for a dedicated Cooking Instructor who is passionate about working with youth and supporting their development.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and possess the necessary skills to lead high quality cooking classes and engages adult and youth and how to work together in the kitchen. If you have a love for education, enjoy working with youth, and have the ability to multitask effectively, we encourage you to apply.
