An Adult Basic Education or Literacy Instructor works with adults, including young adults who are out of school, to improve literacy and strengthen basic skills in reading, writing and math. Helps students to learn English or gain a high school diploma or equivalent certificate. Assesses students' educational levels, skills and goals, and differentiates instruction as needed for adults at different levels in one class. May focus on basic skills as needed for a particular occupation, or assist students with developing study skills or job search skills, or help students connect with social services.

Adult Arts & Enrichment Instructor (part-time)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an energetic, skilled and reliable Adult Arts & Enrichment Instructor to join our team. In this role, you will lead classes of adults as they further their education or come out to play.
Duties:
Create your own curriculum and programs or review existing class content Manage classroom and participants Setting up for class Taking attendance of participants Implementing class activities Adapting and modifying activities to suit the needs of participants in the class Clean-up after class Perform CPR, first aid and other emergency procedures if needed Follow all health and safety regulations and organization policies Communicate clearly and effectively with participants Maintain an accurate schedule within company system Flexible hours and locations in both Rockwood and Parkway schools Earn great extra income working flexible schedule
Skills:
High school degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred First aid/CPR training and certification required or ability to obtain certification Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work evenings and weekends are a plus Positive attitude, encouraging and patient with participants when instructing Able to build positive and professional relationships with participants Position involves frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing Able to lift 50+ lbs. Able to work with participants who will need specialized attention Part-time position where you can work as much as you'd like!
