Qualifications:
Required:
Missouri Teaching Licensure or 4-year degree from accredited school.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree

Adult Ed Salary Schedule Direct Report:
Supervisor ofAdult Education Terms of Employment:
Part-time, 10 months/Tuesday and Thursday mornings
Purpose:
Promotes reading, writing, speaking, and listening to a diverse population of immigrant adults.
- Essential Job Functions:
- Attend work in a regular, reliable, and punctual manner.
- Obtain AEL (Adult Education & Literacy) Certification after being hired.
- Obtain twenty hours of professional development per year.
- Establish a trusting environment where a diverse group of students can develop personal success in English.
- Ensure that curriculum meets the four areas of teaching ELL (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).
- Develop daily lesson plans based on the needs of students.
- Utilize Burlington English computerized program.
- Utilize technology with students.
- Maintain a volunteer network (if available) to assist students with specific skillsets.
- Assist volunteers (if available) with developing specific materials to meet individual student needs.
- Perform testing with students for placement testing and post testing.
- Promote program services to potential students within the local community.
- Complete documents related to compliance training, forms that document student hours, and other paperwork.
- Will be trained in CASAS Steps testing administration.
- Maintain records for local and state agencies.
- Other assigned duties.
