Education Registrar International Institute of St. Louis - 3.5 St. Louis, MO Job Details $22 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Serving clients Computer skills Full Job Description The ESOL and Adult Education Registrar serves as the first point of contact for prospective adult learners seeking ESOL and other educational services, including Citizenship classes. This position coordinates student registration, conducts initial English language assessments, determines appropriate testing levels, and provides information about educational opportunities and agency services. The Registrar ensures a welcoming, efficient, and accurate enrollment process while supporting student success. Qualifications Certificate from a college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and two years of related experience. Experience working with adult learners preferred. Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and computer skills. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong attention to details. Essential Responsibilities Respond to phone and in-person inquiries regarding ESOL, Citizenship, and Education Department programs. Schedule and conduct student registration appointments. Interview students, collect required documentation, and complete enrollment paperwork. Assess students' oral and written English proficiency and administer intake assessments. Select appropriate CASAS assessment levels and coordinate with the testing team for placement. Enter and maintain accurate student records in agency databases. Explain the registration, testing, orientation, and class placement process. Provide students with class schedules, testing dates, program materials, and referrals to other agency services as appropriate. Communicate with staff about the final class placements of tested students. Perform other duties as assigned to support Education Department operations. JOIN US!
