Job Description
The Continuing Education EMS program is seeking a qualified professional to assist with instruction and support the delivery of American Heart Association (AHA) courses, including Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Heartsaver courses. Responsibilities include preparing and breaking down classroom environments, ensuring proper use of equipment, maintaining current knowledge of AHA standards, and managing course schedules and required college documentation. The role also involves maintaining accurate registration, attendance, and payroll records; submitting required reports; and upholding all contractual obligations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to confidentiality in accordance with FERPA regulations, while interacting professionally and courteously with students, staff, and community partners in both on-campus and off-site training settings, and adhering to all college policies and procedures. Assist with teaching in the Continuing Education EMS program. To lead or assist in AHA courses in one or more of the following: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support PALS) Heartsaver Courses Duties will include the set up and break down of classrooms, proper use of equipment, current knowledge of AHA standards. Also will need to know how to manage college paperwork and schedules. Classes may be located on campus or out in the community. Maintain accurate registration, attendance, and payroll records for each course taught. Submit required reports and fulfill all contract provisions. Maintain student, instructor, and staff confidentiality. Consistently monitor work area to ensure instructor and student data is being protected according to Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations. Interact with students, the public, the community, and co-workers in a cooperative, courteous and professional manner. Comply with the College's policies and procedures.
