PT Adult Learning Center Instructor

JOB SUMMARY
Williston State College is accepting applications for an Adult Learning Center Instructor. The individual will provide instruction in preparation for the GED test. Classes are to be scheduled for early evening hours in Watford City, North Dakota. The GED classes are designed to assist students with preparation for GED official exams. There are 4 GED exams, RLA, Math, Science and Social Studies. The state of North Dakota requires each GED graduate to also complete a civics exam. Classes will focus on subjects based on student needs. Tutoring can be offered to students who ask or need extra support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plan a curriculum for students
  • Assess student needs and adjust coursework accordingly
  • Assign homework and administer tests
  • Prepare students for GED official exams and civics test
  • Communicate effectively with the ALC program director, students, and families
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must have an Bachelor's degree.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Science, or related field
SALARY:
$28 per hour
