Rennert is a private language school in Manhattan serving international students for over 50 years. We are seeking certified ESL teachers with at least a Bachelor's degree (in any subject; required), a teaching qualification such as a

TESOL/ TEFL/ CELTA

(required), and experience teaching adults. We are currently seeking teachers who are available to work part time in group classes when available, as well as with private students whose schedules can vary from morning to early evening hours. Instructors with experience teaching Business English are particularly attractive. Applicants must be available to teach onsite (New York City), from Monday to Friday and be legally permitted to work in the U.S. (able to complete an I-9 and W-4 form). The timeframe for our adult group classes is 9:00-12:40PM Monday - Friday . The total hours for teaching a group class comes to around 20 hours per week. Hours teaching private clients will vary on a case by case basis. There is also the possibility of adding more hours in the afternoons teaching speaking workshops as well as opportunities to work on special projects as available. Responsibilities and Duties Teach groups of up to 12 adult students using a provided syllabus and textbook onsite Assess students with weekly progress reports, track daily attendance, and do occasional excursions out in the city for practical lessons Teach afternoon workshops and/or private lessons whenever available and interested Qualifications and Skills Familiarity and experience with communicative teaching methods Experience teaching adults (preferred) Bachelor's Degree (REQUIRED) A teaching qualification (REQUIRED) - TESOL, CELTA, TEFL, etc., preferably one that includes a practical teaching component
