Role:
As a Parenting, Anger Management, and Domestic Violence Class Instructor , you will lead engaging, research-based parenting courses for diverse groups of parents and caregivers. Your role will be instrumental in providing education, guidance, and resources to help families thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum for parenting classes. Facilitate group discussions, interactive presentations, and hands-on activities. Provide one-on-one guidance and individualized support to parents as needed. Track participant engagement and assess progress throughout the program. Share relevant resources and referrals for additional family support. Stay up to date on best practices in parenting, child development, and behavior management. Maintain accurate records, including attendance and progress notes. Collaborate with other professionals or organizations to enhance program effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Must be certified to instruct Parenting, Anger Management, and/or Domestic Violence classes. Bilingual in Spanish and English (required). Previous experience facilitating parenting classes or working in an educational or social services setting. Strong knowledge of child development, parenting strategies, and behavior management. Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive topics with empathy and cultural humility. Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field (required). Certification in parenting education or family support (preferred). Why Join Project IMPACT?
