Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Adult Education Teacher / English Language Instructor to empower adult learners through engaging and effective instruction. In this role, you will design and deliver tailored curricula that enhance English language proficiency, foster adult learning, and accommodate diverse cultural backgrounds. Instruction & Academic Growth Teach adult learners in GED preparation, basic literacy, and English language development using both in-person and digital classroom tools. Adapt instructional methods to meet diverse learning styles, building confidence and self-sufficiency in adult students. Assist with curriculum enhancement and instructional delivery. 2. Employment Support & Community Engagement Partner with adult learners and youth to create individualized education and career development plans. Act as a dedicated case manager to connect participants with community agencies, support services, and local resources needed for long-term success. Serve as an ambassador for Cornerstones throughout the Aberdeen community. Represent programs at community events and regional networking opportunities. 4. Administration & Collaboration Maintain accurate, compliant participant files, attendance records, and progress reports. Work collaboratively with Cornerstones staff to expand local programming and support organization-wide strategic goals.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Education, Counseling, Human Services, Public Relations, or a related field. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trust quickly across diverse populations. High comfort level using technology, digital educational platforms, and online teaching tools. Strong organizational skills for case management and record-keeping. Preferred /

Experience in adult basic education, K-12 teaching, career counseling, or workforce training. Curriculum development skills. Fluency in additional languages spoken in the Aberdeen community.
