Jun 1, 2026 Job Description Supervisor of Educator Effectiveness 2026-2027 •This position is grant-funded. Grant-funded positions are time-limited and contingent upon sufficient funding.
JOB GOAL
The Supervisor of Educator Effectiveness is accountable for maximizing the effectiveness of all licensed faculty across the district through mentoring, professional development, and other educator effectiveness initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Holds a valid Tennessee teaching license with administrative endorsement. Five (5) or more years of professional experience in education with two (2) or more years' experience designing and developing educator effectiveness strategies. Prior education experience in a school-based administrative or leadership role, and/or education policy experience, preferably in a human resources and/or talent development capacity. Experience communicating complex concepts to a variety of audiences so must have experience in preparing and delivering presentations. A minimum of a master's degree. Meets health and physical requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serves as the liaison and configurator for the state's teacher evaluation model requiring multiple updated spreadsheets for all personnel annually; Certified teacher and administrator evaluator; Conducts training for supervisors, principals and teachers regarding evaluations and teacher effectiveness Monitors and supervises the evaluation schedule assigned to each teacher; First line resource for principals, assistant principals, and supervisors in the evaluation process; Identifies and works with teachers who would benefit from a formal growth or support plan; Oversees the district mentoring program and coordinates with the Human Resources Department for payment of stipends; Develops and follows through with a system-wide induction program for new teachers; Mentors new administrators within the school district; Identifies and develops aspiring administrators within the system; Works with principals to improve teacher effectiveness; Knowledgeable of current laws on evaluation; Keeps abreast of current research on effective teaching practices Reviews in-service documentation and reports information to the Human Resources Department for action as needed; Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions; Attends work regularly and on time; Maintains and adheres to a calendar of deadlines; Displays professional integrity and confidentiality; and Performs other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This job may require lifting or carrying of objects that exceed fifty (50) pounds, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Other physical demands that may be required are as follows: Pushing and/or pulling Stooping and/or kneeling Reaching and/or handling Talking Hearing Seeing Climbing
