- $30.00 / hour Position Overview The Instructor, CISCO
- CE (CCNA) provides instructional delivery within the Continuing Education division at Houston Community College.
This role is responsible for teaching Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) curriculum, continuously refining instructional delivery techniques, and preparing students for industry-standard networking certifications.
Key Duties & Responsibilities Instructional Delivery:
Teach assigned courses within the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) program utilizing effective, innovative methodologies and delivery techniques.
Curriculum & Syllabus Management:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive course syllabus for each lecture or laboratory session in accordance with college and departmental guidelines; submit mandatory documentation to the department chair.
Continuous Improvement:
Assess and improve instruction quality through regular review of course materials, technology integration, and teaching practices.
Student Success:
Demonstrate expert knowledge in the subject area to support student learning, skill acquisition, and technical certification preparation.
Qualifications & Requirements Certification:
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification is required.
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) or Bachelors degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of practical experience in computer science, information technology, or a related technical field required.
One (1) year of teaching experience at a higher education institution preferred.
