Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Firearms Instructor to join our team and deliver expert firearm training to a diverse range of learners. In this role, you will develop and implement comprehensive firearm safety and proficiency courses, ensuring all participants gain the skills and knowledge necessary for responsible firearm handling. Your enthusiasm for teaching, combined with your expertise in firearms, will inspire confidence and promote safe practices among students of all ages and backgrounds. Responsibilities Design and deliver engaging firearms training sessions tailored to different skill levels, from beginners to advanced shooters Develop instructional materials that clearly communicate safety protocols, shooting techniques, and legal considerations Manage classroom environments effectively, fostering a positive learning atmosphere that encourages participation and safety awareness Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement Maintain accurate records of training sessions, student performance, and certification statuses Stay current with firearm laws, safety standards, and best practices to ensure instruction remains compliant and relevant Support youth programs or community outreach initiatives by providing specialized firearm education when needed Experience Proven experience as a firearms instructor or in a related role involving firearm safety training Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage learners of varying ages and backgrounds Experience developing instructional materials for both in-person and online instruction formats Prior tutoring or coaching experience that demonstrates patience and effective communication skills Familiarity with adult learning principles and adult education teaching strategies Experience working with children or youth programs is highly desirable Excellent communication skills to clearly convey complex concepts and foster a safe learning environment
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 20.0 per week
