Salary and Benefits:
This is a full-time, benefited Faculty Non-Credit 2 level position.Starting salary range:

JOB SUMMARY
The Instructor, Adult Basic Education is a full-time, grant-funded position. This position is responsible for designing, delivering, and assessing educational programs tailored to adult learners. This role requires a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment and adapting instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of adult students. The instructor will work collaboratively with other educators and stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness and relevance of the educational programs. There is no guarantee of contract renewal after the grant period ends.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Instructional Design and Delivery:
Enhance instruction design and delivery by developing, implementing, and refining engaging curriculum and instructional materials to support student learning outcomes. Design and implement a cohesive curriculum that aligns with student learning outcomes. This includes creating and refining instructional materials, resources, and assessments that engage students and promote critical thinking.Student Support and Engagement:
Foster student support and engagement by providing academic guidance, creating inclusive programs, and facilitating resources that promote student success. Provide personalized academic guidance to students, helping them navigate their educational paths, set goals, and access resources. This includes identifying and addressing barriers to success, and?ensuring students feel supported in their academic journey.Assessment and Evaluation:
Improve assessments and evaluations by designing, administering, and analyzing formative and summative assessments to measure student learning and program effectiveness. Analyze assessment data to evaluate student learning outcomes and program effectiveness. This involves interpreting results to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement, and using this information to inform instructional practices and make data-driven decisions.Professional Development:
Enhance professional skills by actively participating in workshops, conferences, and training sessions that support continuous growth and improvement. Actively seek and participate in workshops, conferences, and training sessions relevant to your field. This includes selecting opportunities that align with personal growth goals and the institution's needs and applying new knowledge and skills to improve practice. Share insights and best practices from professional development experiences with colleagues. This can involve leading discussions, conducting presentations, or facilitating workshops to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the organization.Collaboration and Communication:
Strengthen collaboration and communication by actively engaging with other instructors, staff, and community members to foster partnerships, share resources, and support institutional goals Actively engage with instructors, staff, and community members to establish and maintain partnerships that enhance educational initiatives. This includes coordinating joint projects, sharing resources, and creating opportunities for collaboration that support institutional goals.Administrative Duties:
Provide administrative support by entering data into the student record database and participating in database training to ensure efficient workflow. Accurately enter and update student information in the student record database, ensuring data integrity and compliance with institutional policies. Regularly review records for completeness and correctness. Participate in database training sessions to enhance knowledge of system functionalities and best practices. Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements that promote efficient workflow and data management. PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS
There may be occurrences of interacting with employees and/or students, past employees and/or students, members of the general public, and others who express opinions, may exhibit strong emotions, which will require the employee to interact professionally, diplomatically, and appropriately in such situations While performing the essential duties of this position, an employee would frequently be required to move around the assigned work areas as well as within hallways, meeting rooms, and other parts of the campus facilities There may be multiple/daily instances of prolonged sitting, standing, and personal computer use, which would include keyboard and/or mouse usage as well as viewing a computer monitor An employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus The overall work environment requires the mental ability to shift focal point quickly due to interruptions; an employee must be able to mentally track multiple projects and tasking as wellNOTE:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, Adult Learning, or a related field required Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in teaching or training adults; Experience in curriculum development and instructional design Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate adult learners. Proficiency in using educational technologies and tools.- In lieu of the required degree, candidates with equivalent professional experience, industry certifications, or a combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications :
Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
