The Role:
Full-Time Emergency Medicine Lead
APP/APRN
Based at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center , this role is ideal for APPs who thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity ED and want to grow long-term with a tight-knit, collaborative team.
What You'll Do:
Provide care for patients across all ESI levels in a 42-bed Emergency Department while maintaining a patient-centered care environment Serve as the professional and operational liaison for APPs practicing in the Emergency Department. Partner closely with the Site Medical Director, nursing leadership, and hospital administration to align APP practice with hospital policies, quality standards, and operational goals. Develop, manage, and evaluate operational initiatives with measurable outcomes related to APP performance, patient flow, and care delivery. Maintain oversight of APP scope of practice, regulatory compliance, and professional standards. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and departmental leadership discussions. Perform advanced procedures within scope, including but not limited to suturing, splinting, intubation, central lines, chest tubes, lumbar punctures, procedural sedation, FAST exams, and other ED procedures. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation. Leadership & Administrative Responsibilities Provide direct leadership, supervision, mentorship, and performance evaluation of site APPs. Conduct and document APP performance reviews, addressing clinical quality, professionalism, documentation, patient relations, and overall effectiveness. Review Emergency Department charts for documentation quality, appropriateness of care, testing, and billing for APP services. Participate in peer review activities and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. Remain actively involved in addressing and resolving patient complaints and grievances related to APP care. Assist the Medical Director with workforce planning, FTE analysis, and scheduling oversight. Oversee and validate APP schedules with the goal of publishing schedules at least 90 days in advance. Facilitate APP meetings and effectively communicate data, expectations, and performance outcomes. Support recruitment, onboarding, retention, and professional development of APPs, including participation in interviews and site tours. The Ideal Candidate We're looking for a clinically strong APP with demonstrated leadership ability who is ready to take ownership of APP operations and professional standards.
Qualifications:
Completed an approved/accredited
APP/APRN
- Emergency Medicine internship/fellowship/residency Is Certified by the AAENP Has 24 months of experience working in the Emergency Department as an APP or APRN (experience under any other licensure be considered) Has at least or ideally 6 months or more of leadership experience Licensed in Wyoming ; DEA required. Committed to living in or near Cheyenne, WY and growing with the team Professional, reliable, and legally eligible to work in the U.S. Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications . Compensation/Benefits and Schedule We're proud to offer clear, fair, and transparent compensation: Hourly Pay Full-Time (123 hours/month):(Total annual compensation $166,347) Clinical Hours paid at $98.47/hr . (For the first 90 hours - all hours over 90 are paid at standard rate) $5000/month admin stipend - 23 hours must be served on site 10 hours may be remote Additional Benefits Low-Cost health insurance (BCBS of TX). Dental, vision, life, and disability included. 401K with 4% match. $3,500 annual business expense fund (CME/licensing). Occurrence-based malpractice with tail coverage. Path to partnership after 1 year, with profit-sharing. No state income tax for Wyoming residents. Sign on bonus eligibility Admin supplies : A laptop and other needed office supplies will be provided .
Shift Structure Options:
7a-6p, 9a-6p, 10a-10p, 2p-11p, 5p-5a. Physicians are always on-site.
Fair scheduling:
all providers are rotating holiday and weekends
