The UW-River Falls College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences (CAFES) maintains a pool of qualified candidates from which part-time staff may be drawn to fill vacancies on a temporary basis in various departments and disciplines. Successful applicants become members of a pool of temporary instructional academic staff eligible to teach, based upon the needs of the department, funding and availability of the prospective staff member.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance Lecturers may be hired in the following areas:

Agricultural Economics Agricultural Education Animal and Food Science Engineering and Engineering Technology Plant and Earth Science Required Qualifications:

Teaching experience in area of expertise Additional qualifications may be required dependent on the department or area

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong communication skills: listening, speaking, and writing (including proofreading and editing) Teaching experience at a college level

Education:
