Position Description The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an ongoing pool of lecturers who may be appointed to teach during the academic year or Summer Session. Outstanding candidates with experience teaching in the following specialties within biology are encouraged to apply: introductory biology, genetics, marine biology, population biology, ecology, evolution, plant biology, botany, organismal biology, animal or plant physiology, behavior, and field courses. The campus is especially interested in candidates who are committed to ensuring opportunity for students of all backgrounds and to fostering a community of inclusion and belonging through their teaching and other assigned duties. Special attention will be given to those with proven undergraduate teaching skills and/or experience as an independent instructor at the post-secondary level.
