PHIN 1103
  • Beginning Tennis.
This course is one credit hour, graded, undergraduate. Beginning Tennis provides instruction in basic tennis and is designed for the beginning player where development of basic strokes, rules of play, and scoring are discussed. Minimum Education and Experience An earned graduate degree appropriate to the academic discipline/topic and a record of productivity and professional achievement. Preferred Education and Experience Master's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Education, Coaching, or a closely related field. Must have a minimum of five years of tennis instruction at the intermediate level.
Preferred experience:
Ten years of tennis instruction at an advanced level. Other Qualifications To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.   • Beginning Tennis Maintain contact with a diverse student population in the classroom and via electronic learning platforms (eLearning).
Contribute assessment information and data as requested through the administration and the Assessment Team. Participate in course evaluation surveys.
