The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. This role requires knowledge of merchandising practices and familiarity with products such as beer and wine to assist customers effectively. The Cashier plays a vital role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers while supporting the overall operations of the store. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, courteous service at the checkout counter Accurately process sales transactions using the point-of-sale system Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments securely and efficiently Maintain knowledge of current promotions, discounts, and store policies Assist with merchandising tasks, including stocking shelves and organizing displays Provide product information to customers, especially regarding beer and wine selections Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout the shift Address customer inquiries or concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary Follow all safety procedures and company policies to ensure a safe shopping environment Requirements Previous experience as a cashier or in retail/customer service is preferred Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately Knowledge of merchandising practices and familiarity with beer and wine products Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling and record keeping Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team Join our team as a Cashier to deliver exceptional service while supporting our merchandising efforts.
