Reviews and appraises material, determines items to archive and conditions necessary to preserve materials safely. Develops systems for documenting and organizing material to be archived. May use archival material for research or assist other researchers with access to an archive.

Job Description

Provides reference, research, and collection processing support for archives' staff and patrons.
Career Readiness Competencies :
Communication Critical Thinking Professionalism Retrieves and reshelves archival materials for patrons. Works on research requests. Scans images and photocopies materials for patrons and staff. Processes manuscript collections in accordance with supervisor's instructions and/or manual. Assists in university records management activities. May input data on holdings into computer. May train others in operation of digital imaging equipment and software. Performs other duties as assigned. Requires concentration and strong attention to detail. Basic computer skills required and desire to learn new skills on the job. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Please include resume when applying.
