Student Worker -
Meticulously following document-naming protocols to create an accessible and useful digital archive.
Keeping necessary paper files intact for storage.
Troubleshooting issues with the digitizing and naming process.
The student will be trained by staff.
Sports Information Digital ArchivistNumber of Openings:
1Purpose/Objective of theRole:
The student will work up to 15 hours/week during OWU summer office hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday) as their schedule permits. The student will help sort and digitize OWU athletics records of historic significance. Duties will include sorting paper records and using a multifunction device (MFD) to scan information to create digital archives for OWUs varsity sports. Training will be provided regarding how to scan, name, and store the electronic files. The intern may also help with special duties as assigned.Tasks & Responsibilities:
Using a scanner to create digital archives.Meticulously following document-naming protocols to create an accessible and useful digital archive.

Troubleshooting issues with the digitizing and naming process.
Qualifications/Skills:
Strong organizational skills are helpful.Please note:
The student must be comfortable with completing repetitive tasks and working independently. Listening to music allowed!The student will be trained by staff.
Potential Future Career Benefit:
This summer internship is very task-focused, but it will be helpful in showing ownership and management of a large project, and in being able to work successfully and independently.NOTE:
