Position Description The Performance, Play & Design Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications to the Theater Arts Program for an ongoing pool of lecturers who may be appointed to teach courses in the following areas: Modern Technique Improvisation Composition Movement for Performers Dance History and Theory (Dance Studies) Ethnic Dance These courses are designed to meet campus general education requirements with the use of standard texts. Readers or Teaching assistants may be assigned to assist instructors and will be supervised by the instructor. Special attention will be given to persons with proven undergraduate teaching skills. The campus is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the inclusive excellence of the academic community through their teaching and other assigned duties. Internal candidates will be given priority consideration.
