Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and versatile Art Teacher specialized in Multiple Mediums to inspire creativity and foster artistic growth among students of various ages and skill levels. In this dynamic role, you will develop engaging curricula that incorporate diverse art forms, including painting, sculpture, digital art, and mixed media. Your expertise will help students explore their artistic potential while integrating foundational skills such as visual literacy, craftsmanship, and expressive techniques. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to influence young minds through innovative teaching methods and hands-on projects, nurturing a lifelong appreciation for the arts. Responsibilities Design (or find a good pre-made curiculum you like) and implement comprehensive lesson plans across multiple art mediums tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Develop curriculum content that aligns with educational standards and incorporates modern learning technology, including Learning Management Systems (LMS). Manage classroom activities effectively to promote positive behavior, engagement, and creativity through strong classroom management techniques. Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, such as concerts and fashion shows that may be enhanced by the art program/students work. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to provide feedback on progress and address individual learning needs. Qualifications Proven classroom experience teaching multiple art mediums such as painting, sculpture, digital art, or mixed media. Strong background in curriculum development with the ability to adapt lessons for various learning styles and special education needs. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technology tools for lesson delivery and student assessment. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in working with children of different ages. Experience working with students with disabilities or in inclusive classrooms is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to engage students effectively and collaborate with colleagues and parents. Demonstrated ability in classroom management, behavior management strategies, and creating a positive learning environment. Additional expertise in literacy education, math integration, tutoring, or private school experience is a plus. Pay:
$26.00 - $30.00 per hour
