We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Art Instructor to lead engaging art classes, workshops, and camps for children and teens approximately 8-15 years old . The ideal candidate enjoys working with young people and can create a welcoming environment where students of all skill levels feel comfortable experimenting, learning new techniques, and expressing their creativity. Responsibilities Plan and lead age-appropriate art classes, workshops, and projects. Teach a variety of mediums, which may include drawing, painting, watercolor, acrylics, mixed media, clay/sculpture, crafts, manga/anime, and digital art. Develop fun, project-based lessons appropriate for different ages and skill levels. Prepare materials and organize the classroom before each session. Maintain a safe, positive, organized, and inclusive learning environment. Encourage creativity and individual expression rather than focusing solely on technical ability. Provide guidance and positive feedback to students. Supervise students and maintain appropriate classroom behavior. Maintain art supplies and notify management when materials need to be reordered. Clean and organize the studio following classes. Communicate professionally with parents and staff. Qualifications Experience in art, design, illustration, education, or a related creative field. Experience working with children or teens strongly preferred. Comfortable teaching groups with different skill levels. Friendly, patient, dependable, and energetic. Strong communication and classroom-management skills. Ability to independently plan and lead creative projects. Must be comfortable working in an active, family-oriented environment. Availability during after-school hours and/or weekends. Experience with one or more of the following is a plus: Drawing and illustration Painting Manga/anime Digital art Crafts and mixed media 3-D design/printing What We're Looking For More than anything, we're looking for someone who loves creating and enjoys sharing that excitement with kids . Our goal is not simply to teach children how to make a specific project. We want students to experiment, build confidence, discover new interests, and leave class excited about what they created.
Pay:
$30.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 30.0 per week
