BASIC FUNCTION
: Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Art courses up to 10 hours/week Organize and teach all levels of Art classes Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning; Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses; Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester; Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired
REQUIRED DUTIES
: Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Essential Duties Summary Required Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Master's in art history, history of art and architecture, or visual culture/visual studies OR Bachelor's in art history AND Master's in history OR Master's in art with a recorded emphasis or concentration in art history OR The equivalent
EQUIVALENCY REQUIREMENT
: All applicants are required to meet the minimum qualifications specified by the Yuba Community College District ( YCCD ) by the application filing date. Alternatively, applicants must have obtained an equivalency determination from the District before the publication of the Recruitment Announcement. Desired/Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands Range/Step Class I - VII (Based on degree and teaching experience). Salary Range Steps 1: $1,586.89 - Step 10: $2,657.77 per unit.
