Children's age range can be 6 to 17. Instruction can be divided into 2 sessions per evening to accommodate age grouping and/or smaller group sizes. Art instruction will take place on-site, on Friday evening during the pre-set Children's Enrichment Group time, 5:30 - 7:30. prep time from 5:00-5:30 p.m. ISN's El Nido (

Spanish:

the nest) transitional housing program provides a safe haven for single women and women with children who are fleeing domestic violence. Program participants partner with a skilled and compassionate case manager to create personalized plans to achieve self-sufficiency for themselves and their children. DV families have complex needs to recover from the ravages of domestic violence. El Nido Program participants receive on-site case management and psychological counseling, financial planning, housing search, and life skills classes, and referrals to additional services, such as legal assistance programs, medical and dental services, educational programs such as ESL and GED, job training, and employment readiness programs. Survivors recover from trauma, build skills and incomes, and acquire permanent housing for their families. This 12-month program can be extended to 18 months if necessary for successful completion.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, organize, and lead weekly art activities, including set-up and clean-up. 2. Maintain Sign-In/Out sheets. 3. Maintain an orderly activity room.

1. The Program Manager will provide support and assist 2. Attending a DV 101 class is recommended. 3. Instructional materials will be provided by El Nido.

Reporting:

Children's Group Instructor will communicate regularly with the Program Manager, turn in sign timesheets, and report on group outcomes.
