Participants work through a guided, meditative ceramic art process — no artistic background required for them, and no direct experience required for you either. We'll train you in our specific craft technique (rooted in the Japanese art of kintsugi); what we can't train is how to hold space for a room and help people have a lovely time. That's what we're looking for. Responsibilities Lead group mindfulness art workshops for participants of all skill levels Set up and break down the workshop space before and after each session, including moving tables, chairs, and workshop supplies Maintain a clean, organized workspace throughout each session Track and restock your workshop kit between sessions so materials are always on hand Guide participants through the hands-on art process (full training provided) Share a bit of mindfulness and art history framing during the workshop to help participants connect with the process and the traditional context of this technique (it will help if you are genuinely interested in art history!) What We're Looking For Teaching experience strongly preferred (classroom, workshop facilitation, coaching, or similar group-leading experience) Art or craft experience strongly preferred — ceramics experience is not required; we'll train the specific technique Comfortable speaking to a group and creating a warm, welcoming environment Reliable transportation for workshops across San Francisco and the Bay Area Able to reposition large workshop tables using a furniture slider — including lifting/tilting one corner, up to approximately 45 lbs, to set the slider in place — and carry workshop supplies up and down a small set of stairs during setup and breakdown Nice to Have A personal mindfulness or meditation practice, or interest in one Background in ceramics or fine arts Schedule Variable, as-needed — workshops are scheduled in advance and run about 5 hours including setup and breakdown.
