Job Summary Job Summary Under the direction of the Director of the Conservatory and the Dean of Arts, Conservatory Teachers plan, develop, organize, and implement a comprehensive educational program for students in the skills of their specified art discipline, create a supportive and flexible learning environment to nurture each student's personal growth, and collaborate with colleagues to reflect on and refine instructional practice. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications To apply, email the following to Ryan.reithmeier@ocsarts.net, Director of Classical Voice Please specify the specific course you are interested in applying for Letter of Introduction Resume Two reference contacts The Conservatory Teacher (Art Song Literature and Diction) teaches courses in lyric diction and vocal literature within the Classical Voice Conservatory, with instruction focused on the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), pronunciation and diction for performance, and the study and performance of traditional and contemporary art song repertoire. Working collaboratively with student pianists and a co-instructor from the Piano Conservatory, the instructor guides students in repertoire preparation, stylistic interpretation, and collaborative performance practices. The role also includes planning and producing one recital per semester in partnership with the Piano Conservatory, which provides students with a pre-professional performance opportunity. Additional responsibilities include curriculum development and implementation, assessment of student progress, participation in faculty and curriculum meetings, and collaboration with conservatory leadership to support instructional planning and program goals.
