Job Title Visual Arts Instructor Department After School Enrichment Reports To Program Coordinator Job Summary The Visual Arts Instructor provides instruction in drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and design while encouraging artistic expression and creativity. The instructor guides students in developing technical skills and appreciation for the visual arts. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging visual arts lessons. Teach traditional and digital art techniques. Organize exhibitions and student art displays. Evaluate student artwork and provide constructive feedback. Maintain art studios and equipment. Promote creativity, critical thinking, and artistic appreciation. Ensure safe use of art materials and tools. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Art Education, or related field. Teaching certification where required. Professional portfolio demonstrating artistic ability. Experience teaching or working in the arts. Skills and Competencies Drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art Creative thinking Classroom management Communication and presentation skills Knowledge of art history and contemporary practices Assessment and mentoring
