What you will be doing:
Lead (or assist) with after school instruction for students.What we are looking for:
Experience working with groups of kids College students, teachers, TAs, retirees, parents, are encouraged to apply Effective group management skills Energetic, kind, and patient personality Punctual and reliable, with access to a reliable form of transportation Qualifications Experience & Skills Experience working with youth in an educational, recreational, or after-school setting Strong communication and relationship-building skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities Comfortable leading groups of students and managing classroom behavior Education Candidates must meet one of the following: Bachelor's degree or working on one (Education or related field preferred) Ability to pass a company instructional assessment Additional Requirements CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start) Work Environment & Physical Requirements This role requires the ability to actively engage in both indoor and outdoor program settings.Responsibilities may include:
Standing, walking, and moving throughout program spaces Lifting and carting materials (up to 50 lbs) Supervising students in active, sometimes high-energy environments Managing occasional interruptions and dynamic situations What your schedule will look like: Monday through Friday afternoons in person at school sites, 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, (3 hours) and daily prep time. Occasionally, you may be asked to work 12:15- 5:15 ( 5 hours) for scheduled special event days, which are 14 days of the year and scheduled in advance.
