Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Part-Time K-8 Art Teacher to inspire creativity and foster artistic growth among students across elementary and middle school grades. The ideal candidate will bring a vibrant teaching style, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to nurturing diverse learning styles within a supportive educational environment. Duties Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate art curricula aligned with school standards and student developmental levels Plan and deliver creative lessons that incorporate various art techniques, materials, and digital tools, including educational technology integration, including quarterly or semester long elective class options for grades 6-8 Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere that encourages student participation Collaborate with fellow teachers on interdisciplinary projects and curriculum development to enhance overall student learning experiences Cover lunch and recess duties as assigned Requirements Proven experience teaching art to children in K-8 settings, including classroom management and curriculum implementation Strong knowledge of visual arts techniques Ability to adapt lessons based on individual learning styles and implement instructional modifications as needed Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and understanding of childhood development principles Excellent communication skills for parent engagement, faculty collaboration, and instructional clarity Knowledge of educational compliance standards, behavior management strategies, and early childhood or preschool experience is a plus
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
