Job Description

Company Overview Brookridge Day School is a private, family-operated institution dedicated to fostering a love of learning and nurturing the whole child. Established in 1968, it offers quality education for children from ages three through third grade, along with comprehensive before and after school care programs. Overview We are seeking a passionate Part Time Art Teacher to inspire creativity and artistic expression among our young students from kindergarten-3rd grade. This role involves designing engaging art lessons, managing classroom activities, and supporting children's development through the arts. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and experience working with children to our vibrant educational community. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate art curricula that promote creativity, self-expression, and skill development Manage classroom environments to ensure safety, engagement, and positive behavior during art activities Guide students in exploring various art forms including drawing, painting, sculpture, and crafts Support students' individual interests and abilities through personalized instruction and encouragement Maintain organized lesson plans and classroom materials, and student progress records Requirements Experience working with children in educational or youth program settings Skills in curriculum development tailored for early childhood or elementary learners Classroom management expertise to foster a respectful and productive learning environment Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies Experience with lesson planning for early childhood education is preferred Excellent communication skills and a passion for inspiring young learners in creative arts Join us in shaping an environment where children can explore their artistic talents while building confidence and character.
