Job responsibilities and opportunities include:

Teaching general art classes for grades 5 - 8, and offering an after-school middle school art club one day per week. Working with a group of advisees and supporting the social-emotional needs of students Director for middle school Art exhibits Developing the art program, including working with the Lower and Upper School art faculty for cross-divisional exhibits at school and in the community Working collaboratively with the team of Visual and Performing Arts teachers and other colleagues Collaborating with other performing arts faculty in planning and producing the annual Grandparents'/Special Persons' Day performance Writing narrative comments about students at the conclusion of each term Serving on committees and occasional supervision or other duties around the school Sayre's mission focuses on fostering academic excellence, embracing challenge, and cultivating integrity. The Middle School places special emphasis on meeting the needs of the whole child in the areas of cognitive, social, emotional, and aesthetic development.
