Overview WISE Academy is seeking an experienced and creative K-8 Art Teacher who can build a structured, engaging art program while meaningfully integrating Islamic values and identity into classroom instruction and student projects. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement an organized K-8 art curriculum aligned with applicable art standards . Thoughtfully integrate Islamic values, history, culture, and artistic traditions into lessons and projects where appropriate. Plan and teach engaging, age-appropriate lessons using a variety of artistic techniques, mediums, and creative processes. Build student skills progressively across grade levels through purposeful, standards-based instruction. Maintain a structured, well-managed classroom with clear expectations, routines, and effective behavior management. Assess student work and provide meaningful feedback on skill development, creativity, effort, and progress. Maintain a safe, organized, and productive art classroom. Qualifications Experience teaching art and working with school-age children, preferably in a K-8 setting. Strong classroom management and lesson-planning skills . Experience developing or implementing an art curriculum aligned with standards . Ability to meaningfully incorporate Islamic values and perspectives into art education. Art teaching certification is a plus.
