Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Afternoon Art Teacher to join our vibrant team at our Maple Grove and Rockford locations. Classes are Tuesdays (2:30-4pm), Wednesdays (3:10-4:45pm), and Thursdays (2:45-4:15pm). In this role, you will inspire creativity, foster artistic growth, and provide engaging visual and performing arts instruction to children and youth. Your enthusiasm for arts education will help nurture young talents, develop their skills, and cultivate a love for the arts in a dynamic classroom environment. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to various age groups and skill levels in visual arts Lead engaging art classes Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment that encourages participation and artistic exploration Guide students through projects that enhance their childhood development, creativity, and self-expression Incorporate specialized techniques such as choreography, ballet, sewing, culinary arts, or photography into lesson plans to diversify learning experiences Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student achievements and areas for growth Qualifications Proven experience working with children in educational or youth program settings Strong background in teaching visual arts Demonstrated skills in classroom management and behavior management Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience with special education needs or working with diverse learner populations is a plus Ability to engage students through creative instruction in various art forms such as dancing, acting, painting, or sewing Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young learners Flexibility to adapt lessons for preschool or early childhood education environments Join us as an Afternoon Art Teacher and be part of a dedicated team committed to nurturing creativity in every child!
