YogaSix Asheville is looking for dynamic, high-energy Sculpt & Core Fitness Instructors to join our teaching team. Our fitness formats combine strength training, functional movement, cardio, core work, and high-energy music to create challenging, accessible workouts in a heated studio environment. This is not yoga with weights. Y6 Sculpt is an energetic cross-training workout using dumbbells, resistance bands, bodyweight exercises, and other equipment to build strength, increase cardiovascular intensity, and challenge the entire body. Y6 Core focuses on intentional, functional core training designed to build strength, stability, and control. We welcome instructors with backgrounds in group fitness, strength training, Pilates, barre, HIIT, boot camp, functional fitness, and yoga sculpt. A traditional yoga teaching background is not required for the right candidate. YogaSix instructors are hired as W-2 employees, not independent contractors. We invest in our team through paid onboarding and format training, ongoing development, coaching, and opportunities to train in additional YogaSix formats. What We're Looking For Our strongest instructors: Bring energy, confidence, and personality to the room Know how to motivate a group while keeping workouts safe and effective Have a strong understanding of strength, core, and functional movement Cue exercises clearly and confidently Create genuine connections with students Can offer modifications and progressions for different fitness levels Understand that great group fitness is about the experience, not just the workout Are dependable, coachable, and excited to continue developing Know how to have fun while still delivering a challenging class Responsibilities Arrive at the studio 20 minutes before class Welcome and connect with students before and after class Deliver dynamic, motivating, and safe Sculpt and/or Core classes Bring your personality and coaching style while following YogaSix format standards Set up the studio appropriately, including equipment, mat spacing, music, lighting, and heat Demonstrate exercises and provide clear verbal instruction Offer appropriate modifications and progressions Monitor form and movement throughout class Reset and clean the studio and equipment following class Help build community and connection within YogaSix Asheville Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and instructor development Qualifications We are open to candidates from a variety of fitness backgrounds, including Pilates, group fitness, strength training, barre, HIIT, boot camp, personal training, and yoga.
Preferred qualifications include:
Group fitness, personal training, Pilates, or other recognized fitness certification OR 200-hour yoga teacher training with group fitness or strength-training experience Experience teaching strength, Sculpt, Pilates, barre, HIIT, boot camp, Core, or similar group fitness classes 1+ year of teaching experience preferred Current CPR certification Strong verbal communication and coaching skills Comfortable teaching and moving in a heated studio environment Ability to confidently lead an energetic, physically challenging class Genuine interest in helping students become stronger and more confident Positive, dependable, and team-oriented Daytime availability is strongly preferred. Physical Requirements Instructors must be able to: Move throughout the classroom to demonstrate exercises, observe students, and provide coaching Demonstrate exercises and movements relevant to the class format as needed Teach and move comfortably in a heated studio environment Lift, carry, set up, and put away fitness equipment Adjust and operate studio equipment Walk up flights of stairs, as our studio building does not have an elevator Compensation & Benefits W-2 employee position Class rate based on teaching experience, qualifications, and formats taught Paid onboarding and YogaSix format training Ongoing instructor development and coaching Free YogaSix membership Opportunities to train in additional YogaSix formats Supportive, community-focused teaching team Selected candidates will be invited to an initial interview.
