A highly qualified candidate will:

Have a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Education Licensed in Art K-12 Be proficient in the NC essentials related to Art Able to manage to organize multiple art materials Quick on your feet - able to manage multiple art projects at once. Able to plan meaningful art experiences connected to art standards Able to clean up store, organize, and display student art projects efficiently Able to teach art concepts through art projects Able to work with students ages 5 to 14, adapting practice to adjust to develop mental levels. Hold high expectations for all students. Have a Growth Mindset Be proficient with ways to assist special needs students, including students on the spectrum Be a learner, flexible and willing to grow Work to achieve school philosophy and policies Be able and willing to collaborate with other staff Utilize effective classroom management techniques Communicate regularly and effectively with others
