This full-time, paid position offers an exciting opportunity to foster a love for art, develop foundational skills, and support holistic childhood development. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for teaching art, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to nurturing diverse learners through engaging curriculum implementation. You will play a vital role in cultivating an inclusive environment where students can explore their artistic talents while integrating learning technology and instructional modifications to meet individual needs. Duties Design and deliver engaging art lessons aligned with curriculum standards for elementary students, incorporating various mediums and techniques Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote creativity, fine motor skills, and cultural awareness Adapt lessons to accommodate different learning styles, abilities, including working with students with disabilities and those requiring special education support Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to artistic exploration Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, curriculum development, and instructional strategies Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavioral updates, and upcoming projects or exhibitions Utilize learning management systems (LMS) to track student performance data and maintain accurate records of lesson plans, assessments, and student portfolios Experience Proven classroom teaching experience in elementary or primary education settings with a focus on art or related subjects Demonstrated ability to work with children from diverse cultural backgrounds and varying developmental needs Experience integrating learning technology tools into lesson plans and assessments Familiarity with educational compliance standards, standardized testing procedures, and curriculum implementation guidelines Background in childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and instructional modifications for special needs learners Knowledge of literacy education, math integration within art projects, and the use of library services for resource enhancement Prior experience working in private schools or Montessori environments is a plus; certification in special education or related fields is advantageous Join us in shaping young minds through vibrant artistic experiences!
