Artists:

We are looking for a fun, light, energetic, and confident Art Instructor to lead our Paint & Sip guests through creative and engaging experiences. Much more than in a traditional art class

• Our instructor is the host, entertainer, and leader of the room.

You must be comfortable standing in front of a crowd, speaking clearly and confidently, keeping guests engaged, and maintaining a fun atmosphere while teaching a complete acrylic painting from start to finish in two to three hours. An ideal candidate can cater to the energy of the group whether that requires keeping a small afternoon class of 10 people engaged, or commanding a crowd of up to 50 people during an evening session. An artist should play music tailored to their crowd that creates an experience guests want to come back for.

Schedule:

This position is Part-Time/ Event Based. Artists will primarily be scheduled for evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be able to teach paintings to low experienced guests, demonstrating techniques clearly and setting an accurate pace for guests to follow along. (Adjusting instruction that is accurate to both guidelines and guest understanding)
• Create a welcoming and positive environment where guests feel comfortable enough to relax and enjoy. Use humor, storytelling, conversation, and audience interaction to keep guests engaged. Read the energy of the room and adjust your persona, teaching style, and music accordingly.
• Cleanliness, Set-up, and Clean-up Arrive early enough to completely prepare the studio before guests arrive.

Set up painting stations neatly and consistently. Organize canvases, easels, brushes, palettes, water cups, paints, and other supplies. Ensure every guest has the materials necessary for the class. Be proactive in assisting around the studio to prevent extra work or unnecessary messes later on Clean brushes, cups, work surfaces, and instructional areas after each event to standards provided in training Dispose of trash and properly store supplies. Return the studio to its required clean and organized condition before leaving and take account of current stock for easy upkeep for all artists. Maintain a professional appearance

• Time management is heavily relied upon. Please be consistently on-time or early and ready to give your energy to the studio and guests with a good attitude
