Overview Join our vibrant educational team as a Part-time Art Teacher and ignite creativity in students of all ages! This dynamic role offers the opportunity to inspire artistic expression through diverse mediums, including visual arts, performing arts, dance, music, theater, photography, sewing, culinary arts, and more. As a key contributor to our youth and adult programs, you will develop engaging curricula, manage lively classrooms, and foster a love for the arts in a supportive environment. This paid position is perfect for passionate educators eager to make a meaningful impact while sharing their expertise across a variety of creative disciplines. Duties Design and implement innovative curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels in visual arts, performing arts, music, dance, theater, photography, sewing, culinary arts, and childhood development Lead engaging art classes that incorporate choreography, dance instruction, musical instrument performance, theater production, and other creative activities Manage classroom environments effectively to ensure safety, discipline, and positive engagement among students Provide individualized tutoring and mentorship to support students' artistic growth and technical skills Incorporate elements of choreography and dance instruction into performances or workshops Facilitate youth programs that promote creativity, teamwork, and self-expression through arts-based projects Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-disciplinary projects and special events that showcase student talents Maintain organized records of lesson plans, student progress, and program activities Experience Proven experience working with children or adults in an educational or artistic setting Strong background in teaching visual arts or performing arts such as dance (including choreography), theater (including acting), music (instrumental performance and teaching), photography, sewing or culinary arts Demonstrated ability to develop engaging curricula that cater to diverse learning styles and developmental stages Skilled in classroom management techniques that foster a respectful and inspiring learning environment Experience working with youth programs or community education initiatives is highly desirable Knowledge of childhood development principles related to creative arts instruction Familiarity with tutoring techniques across various art disciplines such as music instruction or sewing lessons Ability to work collaboratively with students of different ages while encouraging individual artistic expression Join us in shaping the next generation of artists by sharing your passion for the arts!
