Art & Crafts Instructor for Special Needs Living Empowered & Prepared Greece, NY Job Details Part-time From $30 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders Experience working with individuals with cognitive disabilities Instructor-led training (training delivery method) Teaching Specialization in creative arts instruction Full Job Description Art & Crafts Instructor - Independent Contractor Social Thrive is looking for a creative, energetic Art & Crafts Instructor to lead fun, meaningful, skill-building classes for individuals with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities. Classes are semi-private with just 1-3 participants, creating a more engaging, personalized, and joyful environment. We're looking for someone who brings: Positive, enthusiastic energy A team-first mindset Outside-the-box creativity Consistency and punctuality Strong communication and problem-solving skills Patience, flexibility, and thick skin Strong preparation before every class A genuine passion for art, teaching, and helping people grow Excitement about celebrating progress and the small wins We're not looking for someone who does "just enough." We want someone who brings thoughtful, meaningful ideas to the table and looks for ways to make each project engaging, creative, and skill-building.
What we provide:
We recruit the clients We provide the teaching space We provide art and craft inventory/materials Classes are 1 hour Instructors are paid for 1.25 hours for each 1-hour class to account for preparation Independent contractor position If you love creating, teaching, bringing positive energy, and watching people grow through their accomplishments, we'd love to hear from you.

From $30.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 7.5 per week
