Job Description:

The Arts and Humanities Department at Jefferson Community College is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to grow our adjunct pool. Candidates may be needed to teach in one or more of the following courses: Digital Photography 1 and 2; History of Western Art 1, Art Appreciation, Basic Drawing, Basic Painting, Three-Dimensional Design, Ceramics 1 and 2; and Color Line and Design.

Requirements:

Master's Degree in Art, the concentration would depend on the course. Prior teaching experience at the college level is required. Applicants must interact and communicate effectively with diverse populations, foster inclusion, and promote equal access and treatment for groups traditionally under-represented in higher education.

Additional Information:

This is a pooled search. Jefferson Community College is seeking to develop a pool of qualified applicants to teach courses in Art. Applications will be accepted for the duration of the posting and will remain on file for up to three years from the date of application. Qualified applicants may be considered for part-time teaching vacancies as they occur. The College determines the need for adjunct instructors based on course offerings each term, and it is not possible to predict staffing needs for future semesters. When an opening does occur, selected candidates will be contacted for an interview. Level A - $665/credit hour Level B - $785/credit hour after teaching 6 semesters at Jefferson.
