We also host birthday parties and parent-child experiences that bring families together through creativity. @creatingmemiami Position Overview We're seeking a DOER! A proactive and creative Arts Teacher and Programs & Events Coordinator to help expand and manage our offerings at Creating Me. This role goes beyond events, you'll be developing new weekend classes, adult experiences, family workshops, and special events that keep our programming fresh, consistent, and exciting. And leading them, experience working with children is required. We need someone with initiative, ideas, and execution skill with a magical spark! a self-starter who can research opportunities, design experiences, and carry them out with minimal hand-holding. You'll also support marketing efforts to make sure these programs reach and engage families in our community. This is a part-time, flexible role , Mostly Friday-Sunday. Responsibilities Work weekends leading activities for the children Develop and coordinate programming such as weekend classes, Weekend events, community programs, adult creative sessions, seasonal workshops, and family events Research and propose new partnerships (restaurants, cafes, local businesses) to enhance experiences Maintain a consistent calendar of offerings for kids and families Assist with marketing strategies (social media content ideas, flyers, community outreach) Coordinate logistics for programs and events (supplies, setup, communication with parents) Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and reported accurately. Support the director in brainstorming and executing creative initiatives What We're Looking For Creative, artist, or teacher with interest in developing programs A self-starter who can take an idea and make it happen Someone who can Create, plan, execute, and manage various events while ensuring exceptional customer service and client satisfaction Creativity, initiative, and problem-solving skills Strong organizational and communication abilities Scheduling the proper team needed for events or classes Background in teaching, events, programming, hospitality, arts education, or community engagement a plus Experience working with children (leading classes, camps, or activities) Interest in marketing and ability to help promote programs effectively Passion for creating memorable, meaningful experiences for families Manage guest services during events to ensure a seamless experience for attendees. Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvements. Experience & Qualifications Proven experience in teaching, programming, event planning, or coordination (community programs, classes, workshops, or family events) Background in hospitality, arts education, teaching, or community engagement is highly valued; experience with children's programs or camps is a strong plus Strong organizational and time management skills — able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with parents, partners, and team members Experience in marketing or event promotion (social media, flyers, community outreach) is beneficial for growing program participation Ability to work both independently with initiative and collaboratively as part of a team Creative thinker who can bring fresh ideas while also executing them efficiently Flexible and dependable, with willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends Schedule & Compensation Weekends onsite, weekdays can be remote Must be available for occasional evenings and weekends
Compensation:
