Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic and positive artists with teaching experience to join our team as Contract Art Instructors at Painting with a Twist. As a part-time Contract Art Instructor, you'll be a key player in providing a memorable and enjoyable experience for our guests. If you have a love for art, enjoy working in a lively and creative environment, and have a knack for teaching, this opportunity is perfect for you!

Qualifications:

Must have a portfolio to show with most or all of the media above. Fun, nurturing personality that is outgoing and inspirational. Excellent communication skills with children, teens and adults. BFA or similar degree in art preferred. This is a part-time independent contractor position. Must have 1 year of customer service experience. Must have good transportation, and live no more than 20 minutes away from the studio.

Expectations:

Classes are primarily held during the weekday evenings and all day on the weekends; a minimum availability of 3 days Monday-Friday to include one weekend day. Must be able to instruct classes of 2 to 50 people to paint an acrylic painting in 1.5, 2 or 3 hour sessions while standing. Duties include setting up the classroom and being ready to receive customers 30 minutes before class time. Checking customers in and taking payment. Thoroughly cleaning up your classroom and washing all brushes and cups to standard. Tidy of the classroom between events. Must be a team player. Wear the proper attire. Shirt and apron are provided.
