Department Art and Drama Position Type Faculty Employment Status Term Salary Minimum - $60,523.00 per 9 months Open Date 11/10/2025 Close Date Open Until Filled No Effective Date of Employment Position Summary Information Job Description Summary Teach three (3) Studio Art courses per regular semester that could include online courses and/or dual-credit/early college classes. Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in the teaching discipline. Teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need. Make continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction. Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes. Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community. Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Ability to plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/ outline provided to insure course content and objectives are met. Ability to utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students. Successful college teaching experience is required. Successful experience utilizing instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources and other appropriate media in instruction. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in discipline. Preferred Qualifications Ability to teach and communicate with students of varied multicultural backgrounds. Master of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art. Knowledge of and commitment to teaching strategies and methods which enhance student success. Knowledge of a learning college and/or knowledge of learning communities. Experience teaching college level online courses and/or documented successful training in a college online learning management system (e.g. Blackboard, Canvas).
