The successful candidate will be expected to achieve excellence in teaching. Position Overview Adjunct faculty plans classes and implements and evaluates teaching/learning objectives and student learning outcomes. Adjunct faculty undertakes the divisional and professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member, including office hours. Minimum Qualifications A Master of Fine Arts degree, or a degree from a related field. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong teaching skills. Ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues. Preferred Qualifications Significant experience in college instruction. Successful experience teaching adults in a post-secondary institution. Excellent communication skills in multicultural settings. Familiarity with online modes of delivery. Physical Requirements Communicating with others to exchange information. Lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds. Moving self in various positions to perform tasks in tight and confined spaces. Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting or standing. Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Environmental Hazards No adverse environmental conditions expected.
